@613635 can open an account with Kotak / icici who have tie ups with foreign brokers like interactive brokers / saxo bank
or go thru MF providers here in India who have foreign equity focussed funds,

@thatunknown i would suggest 50:50 as of now since cash/ bonds are so remunerative at the moment. equities are not cheap except in china and they have serious issues to deal with

Guys, one important issue: buying shares abroad and having gains on the same is a taxable Gain. PLS consult your CA / tax consultant BEFORE starting to buy foreign stocks.

@amberagrawal23 apple is down 9% but not cheap. buying brk b which is a proxy for apple may be better. i would suggest any broker that has a good interface and tie ups with reputed names abroad as most of these interfaces dont do US broking directly. I think kotak and icici do th...

@sshreesha for our level of sophistication this is good enough i feel. buying individual companies is time consuming and expensive

@shubham94 Sorry I wont be able to comment on whether you should sell or not right now. The holdings are all B-2-B companies focused on the semiconductor value chain but i dont have enough information on each company to make an intelligent decision .

@urvibatra From a sentiment perspective Chinese stocks are totally battered, so yes its an interesting time to look at this space/ However Chinese companies do not publish information as frequently as Indian companies do so its a bit hard to understand their fundamental performan...

@amberagrawal23 US markets are not cheap definitely with headline indices at a steep Price / Earnings multiple. Also compared with the US risk free rate available, the earnings yield (Earnings/ Price) seems steep. Having said that, there are pockets of value in the US too - banks...
