A 47-year-old tailor was allegedly beaten by four people when he enquired them about the lakhs of money he had loaned to one of them.

The incident occurred on November 7 at around 1pm and the FIR was lodged the same day at 2pm. The incident occurred at the D Brand shop on 24th Cross, 23rd Main. Tailor Anna Nayak who worked at this shop was approached by a stranger named Raghavendra (40 years).

According to the FIR, the main accused borrowed Rs 15 lakh. In addition, Raghavendra allegedly claimed that he had an old car that he could mortgage for a further loan of Rs 10 lakh. Anna Nayak secured the bank loan based on the car, but on November 7, 2018, when Nayak enquired about the money and the documents of the car that was mortgaged to get the bank loan, Raghavendra is alleged to have suddenly mouthed expletives and beat him with his hands on the face, chest, neck and also tore Nayak's clothes.

When Nayak tried to flee, the people working in the shop blocked his path and beat him on his hands and legs. The HSR cops have registered four cases against the four accused under IPC 1860 (506, 341, 323, 504).
