@sshreesha Large cap stocks is a universe of top 100 stocks. Active funds have not been able to beat their benchmarks off late (although that seems to be changing in last few months).
Best might be to invest via Index funds (Nifty 50, Nifty 100) as of now- lowest cost, better re...

Asset Allocation means allocating your investment optimally among these 4 asset classes.
Stocks, MFs, ETFs, Nasdaq 100- are all products that invest in same asset cla...

E.g. Gold- recommended way to buy is SGBs....which are released by RBI on specific dat...

@krishna-Bk_tBI9Ho Again, what is your investment horizon? If you will need the money back after 12 months, then would recommend to invest largely in Money market instruments (short-medium term debt funds). If horizon is 2-4yrs, then can invest 50-50 in equity (large/mid/flexicap...

@thatunknown There is no fixed formula for asset allocation. It depends largely on 2 things- 1) Your financial goals & their timelines 2) Your risk taking capability
If you have a large goal coming up (e.g. house purchase, kid's education, etc)- then that money should be in stabl...

@yashst While debt funds will perform better in a falling interest rate scenario, but that's not the only reason or time to invest in them. Role of debt funds can be many- 1) to provide stability to your portfolio in long term perspective 2) they are a good way to park your money...
