@dhanush72 your portfolio has 100% exposure in the equity category. Try to invest in debt funds/hybrid funds to avert risk from rate of interest and market volatility.
If you are in the old tax regime, you can park under performance funds money in an ELSS fund.

Consider the lumpsum investment approach in hybrid and debt categories to avert market volatility risk from your portfolio. You will generate better returns than FD.

@dineshreddy16 agree with you, that small cap funds can provide better returns. But investors should consider to invest in small cap funds in SIP method and for 5-10 years investment horizon.

@malkanid, stay invested in these funds in SIP method. If you want to invest in lumpsum method, put the money in debt / hybrid funds.

Experienced Fund Managers are well aware that new age tech stocks are very much volatile in nature and the returns are unpredictable.
They won't give portfolio exposure more than 0.5% at present.

@dhanush72, an active fund having a chance to outperform the benchmark index and generate alpha. Whereas, index funds cannot generate alpha.
An experienced Investor invest in large cap funds to generate standard returns ~14% or more in a 5-10 year period as the risk is less.

- your investment horizon in equity MF should be 5 to 10yrs.
- begin with SIP method and doing a step up SIP periodically.
- avoids doing lumpsum investment in Small cap funds.

Hi! Stock-broking houses introduced the SIP method in the last 2 yrs.
If you are a regular investor and experienced about the business cycles then SIP in stocks is good.

Avoid doing lumpsum investment in small cap funds because if the market crashes it will slash the price of the investment. For Lumpsum investment, go for BAF/ MAF.
To invest in equity MF use the SIP method and have an investment horizon of 5yrs+.

Increase the SIP amount periodically to accumulate more wealth.
