On November 22, between 1045am and 11am, the HSR traffic cops took prompt action on two riders who were inconveniencing pedestrians by riding on footpath near Agara flyover. The two accused at Shaju (34 years) who was riding a Honda Active (KA05-JK3119) and Anubhav Choubey (25 years) riding a Honda Extreme (MP04 ZM0322).
Both the riders came from underneath the Agara flyover and were found to be using the footpath to go from the ORR Service Road to the main road when they were caught by two traffic cops in the space of 15 minutes.
This is one of the first instances in the last two-and-a-half months that an FIR has been registered by the HSR cops against riders misusing footpaths under Section 138 of the Indian Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Section 279 of the Indian Penal Code for rash driving.
