A total of 22 companies have placed 35 bids for 18 coal blocks in the commercial coal mining auction, according to the press release from the Coal Ministry. The Sherband coal mine has received the highest number of bids, followed by other selected mines. Five state-owned companies have participated in the auction, along with other private companies.
