Here are some of my suggestions:
1. Switch from regular to direct funds as you'll be paying a higher expense ratio in regular funds.
2. Hdfc defence fund is good but go for direct option as mentioned above. Not sure if the fund is accepting any fresh investments due to valuation ...

Don't go for Ulips they are not so good from an investment perspective. If you want to do insurance buy them separately, they'll be cheaper and better.
Moreover for investment you can go for stocks directly if you have good knowledge otherwise MFs would be a good choice.

@rishabhsehgal21  Even though axis small cap has a 5 star rating its returns aren't that good compared to other small cap funds. Whereas other funds like Nippon India small cap, quant small cap etc have outperformed it. They're taking higher risk but then showing results as well...
