@yuvii5239 checked other popular funds like nippon, tata, quant.
But volume is too high there and BOI small cap is at 2nd rank for 5y returns.
It seems promising for years ahead
Thoughts?

Keep on averaging your ETFs when it is down.
You can consider below percentages
First averaging at -2.5%
Second at -5%
Third at -10%
Since ETFs are basket of stocks, Eventually it will go up

It's up to your choice
If you go for multicap fund
25% each will be assigned to large, mid and small cap
Else you can opt for 3 different funds specific to each cap

Just giving you opinion, not advise
1. If I would be at your place, I'll invest 5k in index/large cap fund, 3k in Midcap fund and 2k in small cap fund. 3 funds are enough.
2. Don't run after minor gains by trying to time the market, just do a monthly SIP on any date which is comf...

Weekly or monthly doesn't matter in long term (I mean >=5 years of time period)
Invest 2k in flexicap and 3k in nifty 100 index.
You'll be sorted.

It was obvious for JM flexicap fund because it was having more holdings in smallcap.
Nevertheless, it'll bounce back better in long term

Yes,
But if possible I would suggest to let your money invested for atleast 3 years before starting SWP. It'll last longer

Invest that money in diversified portfolio across a period of around 1 year and let it be invested for atleast 3-5 years.
By this, your corpus will get a runway to grow as well as it will absorb all the shocks/surprises which market can give in upcoming few years.
