The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) to halt the development of the Chhendipada coal mine in Odisha. JSPL had claimed that technical glitches on the MSTC portal during the e-auction process prevented them from submitting a higher bid for the mine. However, the court upheld the Delhi High Court's decision and stated that there were no glitches, as multiple bids were received during the same period. Rungta Sons, a subsidiary of Rungta Mines, was granted the coal block.
