ā¢ IndiGo has been issued tax demand orders totalling around Rs 1,666 crore rupees by the Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) Appeals.
ā¢ The airline intends to contest these orders and pursue legal remedies, alleging that it was not granted a personal hearing by the commissioner.
ā¢ This is the second time CIT-Appeals has confirmed tax demand on IndiGo, with the previous instance being in 2015.
