Piramal Group likely to acquire DHFL with ₹37,250 cr bid: Report
The Piramal Group has reportedly won the bid to acquire bankrupt mortgage lender Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) with its ₹37,250 crore offer. Lenders led by public sector banks are set to approve Piramal's resolution plan, as per reports. The banks were not in favour of clearing US' Oaktree Capital's offer, which had also been bidding for DHFL.
