Money Market Update
🎯The rupee closed at 82.35 against the U.S. dollar on Monday, compared to 82.33 close on Friday.
U.S. stocks rose as S&P 500 crossed a technical level that has triggered gains in the past. Yield on 10-year Treasuries fell six basis points to 3.96%.
The S&P 500 rose 2.5%, whereas the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose 3.2%. Oil rose 0.6% amid lower demand outlook and supply cuts. Gold grew 1.2%, whereas Bitcoin rose 1% to trade around $19,500-level.
India benchmarks indices started the week with gains as gains in banking, utilities and power stocks helped erase losses from opening trade.
