The prototype of the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat train is set to be completed by mid-October at the BEML factory in Bengaluru. The design of the prototype will feature eleven AC III tier coaches and four AC II tier coaches, with an emphasis on aesthetics, safety, and passenger experience. Once the prototype is approved, the manufacturing process will begin, with BEML and BHEL-Titagarh Wagons JV tasked with producing a total of 80 rakes.
