Adani Transmission Ltd. is the 15th Indian listed firm and the second Adani group company after Adani Green Energy to achieve this milestone.
Adani Transmission Ltd.’s shares rallied 104% this year and the stock hit an all-time high on 16th August. Though the recent earnings release was unimpressive (Net profit reduced by 61%, revenues increased by only 10%, and overall debt increased by 14% from the previous year) investors continued to buy company stocks as the company has been expanding rapidly into multiple operations.

Adani Transmission Ltd. is a private sector power transmission and distribution company engaged in the business of establishing, commissioning, setting up, operating and maintaining electric power transmission systems in India.
✅Power Transmission: India’s largest private-sector player in the transmission sector with a 22 percent market share. It owns and operates various High voltage AC transmission lines and substations of 132kV, 220kV, 400kV and 765kV voltage levels and High Voltage DC transmission lines and substations of +/- 500kV voltage levels.
✅Power Distribution: The company also has a B2C presence through its Mumbai distribution business under Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) arm. This business saw a 27 percent year-on-year rise in power sales.
The company’s competitor is Power Grid Corporation, a Maharatna CPSU and it is India’s largest power transmission company (Revenue from Power Transmission is ~36,000 Cr vs ~11,000 revenue from transmission and distribution of Adani Transmission).
