1st of all , an emergency fund is something which helps you when you are unemployed to pay your family needs, bills, EMIs depends on it. An emergency corpus should be a minimum 6 Months salary. Since you are a student, I don't think you need an emergency fund.

Brother, since you have a 2-5 yrs time horizon & want to take low / moderate risk, I'll suggest you Nifty Index Funds. Or you can choose Small Finance banks and can save money in FD , those banks can give you max 9% interest on it. Choose Debt funds as the very last option. I try...
