I have also invested in defence MF and also in the underlying stocks as a basket to understand the inner workings. Some of the underlying stocks have fallen by over 10% and this is causing a sharp drop in the NAV

I posed your question to ChatGPT and got the answer that the entire historical dataset has been used to train the linear regression model and the same dataset is used to evaluate the model and no seperate test data is used. Also generated the heatmap

My personal opinion any day stocks because MF will compound and stocks will not as long as invested MF is atleast matching with Nifty or Sensex yoy growth

There are lots of good books on Amazon if u have the patience then they are a good starting point. I did homework for 6 months before going full throttle and it paid me well
