Yes, over trading can be a blunder, as a beginner 3 - 5 small trades are enough.
If you are hitting regular losses, don't take a rest of 4 - 5 days, instead take 1 day rest apart from Saturday and Sunday, and check your all old portfolios and plans, analyse your mistakes and check everything.
