Tata group announces merger of Vistara with Air India🛩️🛩️

🌟Details of the merger:

Singapore Airlines to hold 25.1% stake in Air India and in return will make an investment of Rs. 2059 crores in the Tata-owned airline as a part of their merger agreement of Vistara with Air India.

🌟Rationale behind the merger:

Tata group made this move to consolidate it owns under the enlarged Air India group. It complements the move made earlier by the carrier to fully buy budget carrier AirAsia.

With this consolidation, Air India group has the second largest domestic market share of 25.9% behind #INDIGO which controls over 56% of domestic air traffic.
