@madhurjasra better to go with Nasdaq index funds as Nasdaq is down by 25%, but Nasdaq consist of Higher risk. Vision must be more than 5 years minimum 😄

@yash81 this is the great opportunity to invest in US markets but through index funds. I have invested in Navi Nasdaq fund of fund and I'm sitting on 10% profit. Expense ratio of this fund is also low(0.13%) and Nasdaq is still down by 25% from its High.

If your investment holding time is 1 or 2 years then don't go with Equity mutual funds. Minimum view must be 5 Years minimum. Fixed deposits are also offering attractive intrest park the money there

If you sell any investment within 1 year, then you have to pay Short Term Capital Gain Tax(15%). But your profit crosses rupees 1 lakh in Long term capital gains tax, then and then only you have to pay tax @10% above 1lakh LTCG profits.

@devaraja You can also buy ETF of Gold i.e. Goldbees. If liquidity is the issue.

@devaraja you can buy,sell any time. Maturity of the bonds are of that year otherwise you can buy or sell at any time.

Type SGB and select whichever series of Gold bonds you want to invest in.
