@jaiagrawal From the month of July.
These charges used to be very less mostly in single digits less than 10/- but now they have increased a lot. 
Now I see charges like 26, 22, 30 or even triple digits depending on your turn over.  
Some people are even paying 1000+ as STT charge...

No unfortunately that is not how it works.
Like many have pointed out already you will have brokerage and other charges for most stock brokers

If there are more buyers then price goes up.
If there are more sellers then price goes down.
It is a constant battle between buyers and sellers.
Any news that is directly or indirectly related to stock also affects the direction of price movement as well.
