It's better to invest lumpaum amount in any hybrid fund and launch a SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan) which will give you a pension like amount every month.
Best funds are ICICI Balanced Advantage Fund, UTI Balanced Advantage Fund
SWP is expected @ 6-7% per year

See most of the MFs are working on same line. We have to analyse the methodology or the strategy of the Fund Manager. I would strongly recommend an thematic or large cap fund which will definitely deliver good returns for 15-20 yrs. I would suggest, UTI Long term Fund, ICICI Busi...

@vish4844 I know, but currently SEBI has restricted new investment in Mid and small cap funds. better to shift focus on thematic or large cap funds. they also have capacity to deliver good returns in long term

For any term longer than 10 yrs it's always better to invest in large cap fund or thematic fund.

if ur conservative (don't want to take much risk) ICICI Pru MF balanced advantage fund is good. If ready to take some risk invest in UTI Or Axis small cap fund .
