Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 1637.69 crore), Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 961.19 crore), Infosys(Rs. 881.72 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 772.39 crore), M&M(Rs. 770.07 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 728.95 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 723.68 crore), TCS(Rs. 703.89 crore), HDFC(Rs. 671.92 crore) and Asian Paints(Rs. 608.93 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 142.6 points up at 15699.25, while BSE Sensex rose 462.26 points to 52727.98.

In the Nifty index, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 4.32 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.21 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.75 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.56 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 2.28 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.00 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
