Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.91% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:44AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 2.86 per cent), DLF(up 2.13 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.69 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.31 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 3.03 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.91 per cent at 422.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 185.9 points at 17497.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 625.05 points at 59036.03.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 46 were trading in the green, while 4 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Motherson Sumi, PNB, Vodafone Idea and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Tapi Fruit Processing Ltd., Electronics Mart India Ltd., Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd., Atlanta Ltd and Orient Refractories hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Motherson Sumi, Akshar Spintex, C&C Construct, Omkar Speciality and Alok Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
