Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.46% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:19AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.2 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.61 per cent), DLF(up 0.63 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.4 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 1.43 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.46 per cent at 461.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 105.6 points at 18706.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 356.39 points at 62927.8.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, PNB, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., BHEL and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Skipper Ltd, Punjab Sind Bank, Raymond, Likhitha Infra and Axita Cotton hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aakash Exploration, Indiabulls Intgrtd, FutureLifestyleFash, Ishan International Ltd. and Future Enterprises hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
