Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.92%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.

Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 2.27 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.21 per cent), DLF(up 1.08 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.62 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.41 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.45 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.92 per cent up at 442.7.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 133.2 points at 18145.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 374.76 points at 61121.35.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 ended in the green, while 11 closed in the red.

Shares of PNB, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Tata Steel and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Weizmann Ltd, AXISCADES Engineeri, SecUR Credentials, Pudumjee Paper Prod and CMS Info Systems Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aakash Exploration, Akshar Spintex, Rel Capital, Future Retail and Williamson Magor hit their fresh 52-week lows.
