    GAIL, Bata India, Tata Elxsi, United Spirits, Container Corp have announced their fourth quarter results today. GAIL's net profit more than doubled on a sequential basis to Rs 604 crore as against Rs 246 crore in the December quarter. Revenue from operations, however, fell 7% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 32,858 crore. During the quarter, natural gas transmission volume stood at 108.23 MMSCMD as against 103.

    GAIL, Bata India, Tata Elxsi, United Spirits, Container Corp have announced their fourth quarter results today. Here's a look at how the companies performed in the March quarter.

    GAIL
    GAIL (India)'s net profit more than doubled on a sequential basis to Rs 604 crore as against Rs 246 crore in the December quarter. Revenue from operations, however, fell 7% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 32,858 crore.

    During the quarter, natural gas transmission volume stood at 108.23 MMSCMD as against 103.74 MMSCMD in the December quarter. Gas marketing volume stood at 96.46 MMSCMD as against 89.89 MMSCMD in the previous quarter.

    Bata India
    Bata India has reported 4% growth in standalone net profit at Rs 65 crore for the quarter ended March. Revenue from operations rose 17% to Rs 778 crore during the quarter under review. The Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 13.50 (270%) per equity share of Rs 5 each, fully paid-up of the company. "The results for the year showcase significant contribution of strategic growth levers helping Bata India drive growth over pre-covid levels," said the company.

    Tata Elxsi
    Tata Elxsi's net profit rose 25% to Rs 201 crore during the March quarter, compared with Rs 160 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations during the quarter rose 23% to Rs 838 crore as against Rs 682 crore in the same quarter of last year. The Board has also recommended a final dividend of 606% at Rs 60.60 per share for the financial year 2022-23.

    United Spirits
    United Spirits has posted 7% year-on-year growth in net profit at Rs 204 crore for the March quarter. Revenue from operations, however, fell 25% year-on-year to Rs 5,783 crore. Reported EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 338 crore down 7% year-on-year. EBITDA margins at 13.6% were also down 322 bps, primarily driven by the gross margin contraction and higher A&P. Rebased NSV increased 15.6% reflecting a strong quarter driven by continued momentum in the off-trade and on-trade along with normalisation of BIO Supplies. Prestige and Above segment net sales grew 23.2% with strong double-digit growth buoyed by continued momentum in innovation and renovation offerings.

    Container Corp
    Container Corp posted an 8% rise in standalone net profit at Rs 278 crore during the fourth quarter. It was Rs 257 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations rose 6% year-on-year to Rs 2,166 crore for the January-March period. The Board has declared a final dividend of Rs 2 per equity share of face value of Rs 5 each for the year 2022-23
