    Biggest gainers & losers of the day: Monte Carlo, Aurum & AB Money hit upper circuits in weak market

    New Delhi: Domestic equity markets continued to bleed on Thursday as rising inflation concerns sparked expectations of early rate hikes, jittering investor sentiment across the globe.

    The 30-share pack Sensex shed 433 points or 0.72 per cent to close at 59,920. Its broader peer Nifty50 gave up 144 points or 0.8 per cent to 17,874. The broader markets declined mostly in line with the benchmark indices.

    Among stock-specific moves, Monte Carlo Fashions, Aurum Proptech and Aditya Birla Money hit respective upper circuit limits, whereas healthcare stocks like Nureca and Solara Active Pharma bled.

    Let's have a look at the biggest movers and shakers of Thursday's session:

    GAINERS
    Monte Carlo Fashions: The smallcap apparel manufacturer hit the upper circuit of 20 per cent at Rs 523.05 after it reported a 665 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in the net profit to Rs 33.91 crore for the quarter ended September 2021.

    Aurum Proptech: The IT software player also hit the upper circuit of 20 per cent at Rs 114.65 on the back of a strong technical set-up. The traded volumes on the counter jumped manifold compared to the two-week average.

    Thermax: The energy and environment solutions provider zoomed 14 per cent to Rs 1,529.60 after the company posted a nearly three-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 87.92 crore for the recently concluded quarter.

    Timken India: The industrial machinery player soared 11 per cent to Rs 1,997 as the shares of engineering, capital goods and infrastructure companies were on traders' radar today. The BSE Capital Goods index scaled new highs amid a tepid market mood.

    Aditya Birla Money: The Aditya Birla Group's NFBC firm hit the upper circuit limit of 10 per cent at Rs 68.25 after the company announced that its board will meet on Monday, November 15, to consider the fundraising plans.

    Lumax Auto Technologies: The auto equipment maker soared 10 per cent to Rs 145.90 after the company returned to black on a sequential basis. It reported a net profit of Rs 19.04 crore in Q2FY22 against a net loss of 1.15 crore in Q1FY22.

    LOSERS
    Nureca: The smallcap healthcare devices maker tanked 11 per cent to Rs 1,616 after the company reported a 70 per cent decline in the net profit to Rs 5.43 crore in the September 2021 quarter as against a net profit of Rs 26.73 crore in the year-ago period.

    Solara Active Pharma Sciences: The pharmaceutical shed 10 per cent to Rs 1,232.05 as the company's net profit almost halved to Rs 30.07 crore in the September quarter of FY22 as against a net profit of Rs 53.60 in the same quarter last fiscal.

    Barbeque-Nation Hospitality: Investors booked profit in shares of the speciality restaurant chain following a 55 per cent rally in the stock over the last one month. The scrip settled at Rs 1,623.85, 7 per cent lower.

    SH Kelkar and Company: The personal care product player dropped 6 per cent to Rs 182.50 on the back of profit booking. The scrip soared about 35 per cent in the last five trading sessions.

    Union Bank of India: The state-run lender slipped 5 per cent to Rs 49.65 after it informed the bourses that Moody's Investors Service on November 10, 2021, has withdrawn the ratings of the lender.
