Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 3033.11 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1752.58 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 1462.82 crore), RIL(Rs. 1321.70 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1088.60 crore), SBI(Rs. 892.22 crore), ITC(Rs. 846.40 crore), Infosys(Rs. 827.32 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 728.30 crore) and HAL(Rs. 676.84 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 35.2 points up at 18633.85, while BSE Sensex rose 122.75 points to 62969.13.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.10 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.62 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
