Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:04AM

Agro Phos(up 4.98%), KRISHANA(up 1.71%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.57%), Coromandel International(up 0.65%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.49%) and Sikko Industries(up 0.38%) were among the top gainers.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 5.17%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 3.31%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 2.21%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.99%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.96%), ZUARIAGRO(down 1.71%), National Fertilizer(down 1.56%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 1.52%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.36%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.15%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 72.45 points down at 15288.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 1045.6 points at 51495.79 at around 10:04AM.

Bajaj Finserv(up 1.44%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.33%), Coal India(up 1.2%), Reliance Industries(up 1.02%), Tata Steel(up 0.96%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.67%), JSW Steel(up 0.64%), Grasim Industries(up 0.54%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.51%) and NTPC(up 0.45%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 3.32%), Titan Company Ltd(down 2.94%), Wipro(down 2.79%), Asian Paints(down 2.44%), Nestle India(down 2.37%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.23%), Britannia Industries(down 2.08%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.97%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.96%) and Divis Laboratories(down 1.85%) were trading in the red.
