    Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

    NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 3.95 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 2.05 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.70 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.08 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.95 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 0.93 crore), Pricol(numbers of share traded: 0.83 crore), G G Engineering(numbers of share traded: 0.82 crore), Seacoast Shipping(numbers of share traded: 0.66 crore) and Excel Realty N Infr(numbers of share traded: 0.62 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

    The NSE Nifty index closed 91.65 points down at 17944.2, while BSE Sensex ended down 316.94 points at 61002.57.

    On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 4.11 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 3.10 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.93 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.01 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
