    Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 355.06 points up at 57989.9 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    On the BSE, Alacrity Sec(down 20.00 per cent), Gretex Corporate Services Ltd.(down 17.09 per cent), Innovative Ideals(down 13.22 per cent), KG Petrochem(down 12.79 per cent) and MFL India(down 10.45 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

    In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.

    The index closed 114.45 points up at 17100.05.

    On the BSE, Aarti Surfactants(PP), Innovative Ideals, MFL India, CNI Research and Biocon hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Diggi Multitrade, HB Estate Dev, Tarmat Ltd, Zen Tech and Sangam Renewables touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
