Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.20 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 4.09 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.94 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.96 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.94 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.47 crore), BEL(number of shares traded: 1.41 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.23 crore), Ambuja Cements(number of shares traded: 1.17 crore) and Adani Ports SEZ(number of shares traded: 1.03 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 90.15 points down at 17558.8, while BSE Sensex was down 339.49 points at 59160.92 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.95 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.96 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.28 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
