Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: ICICI Bank(Rs. 1966.92 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1357.64 crore), RIL(Rs. 981.03 crore), HDFC(Rs. 970.11 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 934.99 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 824.69 crore), Zomato Ltd.(Rs. 753.70 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 747.54 crore), SBI(Rs. 723.25 crore) and Eicher Motors(Rs. 700.50 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 124.25 points up at 17659.0, while BSE Sensex rose 515.31 points to 59332.6.

In the Nifty index, Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.69 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 2.36 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.50 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
