Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:14AM

Suzlon Energy-Partly Pd up Right Is(up 10.28%), GE Power India Limited(up 9.33%), Suzlon Energy(up 6.96%), PIGL(up 5.00%), Reliance Power(up 4.92%), PTC India(up 4.48%), Inox Wind Energy(up 3.43%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.78%), Alstom T&D India(up 2.57%) and JSW Energy(up 2.23%) were among the top gainers.

Jyoti Structures(down 3.72%), Adani Transmissions(down 1.84%), Energy Development Company(down 1.01%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.93%), Hitachi Energy India(down 0.78%), CESC(down 0.53%), Adani Power(down 0.31%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.29%), SJVN(down 0.13%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.07%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 28.65 points up at 18512.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 20.96 points at 62293.64 at around 10:14AM.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 3.44%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.01%), SBI Life(up 1.81%), Reliance Industries(up 1.71%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.58%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.14%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.03%), Tata Motors(up 0.89%), Asian Paints(up 0.83%) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.8%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.21%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.95%), JSW Steel(down 1.63%), HDFC(down 1.59%), HDFC Bank(down 1.28%), Tata Steel(down 1.13%), State Bank of India(down 0.54%), HCL Technologies(down 0.26%), Coal India(down 0.24%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.23%) were trading in the red.
