Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.87% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:19AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 4.94 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 2.72 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.49 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 1.24 per cent) and SOBHA(up 0.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.25 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.87 per cent at 476.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 102.65 points at 18602.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 377.48 points at 62879.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank and Ibull Housing Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Centum Elec, Nucleus Soft, Ahluwalia Contr, Hercules Hoists and Ugro Capital hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanwaria Consumer, Pritish Nandy, Gammon Infra, BKM Industries and Goenka Diamond hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
