Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:29AM

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 9.11%), Madras Fertlizers(up 5.37%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.52%), National Fertilizer(up 3.55%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.27%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.94%), Agro Phos(up 1.84%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.62%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.58%) and Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.90%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.08%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.94%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.80%), Coromandel International(down 0.76%), Aries Agro(down 0.41%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.36%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.33%) and KRISHANA(down 0.04%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 68.4 points down at 18591.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 242.19 points at 62435.72 at around 10:29AM.

SBI Life(up 1.22%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.98%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.85%), NTPC(up 0.7%), Tata Motors(up 0.68%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.54%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.5%), IndusInd Bank(up 0.49%), Britannia Industries(up 0.49%) and HDFC Bank(up 0.35%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 1.75%), Infosys(down 1.73%), HCL Technologies(down 1.17%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.14%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.1%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.05%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.04%), JSW Steel(down 1.0%), UPL Ltd(down 0.9%) and Coal India(down 0.84%) were trading in the red.
