Stock market update: Private Bank stocks climb; RBL Bank jumps nearly 5%

NEW DELHI: Private Bank stocks were trading in the green zone at 12:58PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of RBL Bank (up 4.53 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 3.97 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.69 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.49 per cent) and City Union Bank (up 1.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While HDFC Bank (down 0.67 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.86 per cent up at 12704.25 around 12:58PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 22.30 points at 11494.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 45.9 points at 38889.78.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Tata Motors, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zee Ent. and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Indiabulls Ventures (PP), Affle (India) Ltd., Ruchi Soya Inds, Bajaj Elec. and Hero MotoCorp hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade.
