Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 6.08 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.31 crore), BLS Int. Services(number of shares traded: 2.02 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.49 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.28 crore), Patel Eng(number of shares traded: 1.15 crore), Jindal Saw(number of shares traded: 1.13 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.06 crore) and Zomato(number of shares traded: 1.06 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 50.95 points up at 18232.7, while BSE Sensex was up 183.73 points at 61744.37 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.00 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.03 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
