Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 15.56 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 11.14 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 9.63 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 8.42 crore), RBL Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.65 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 7.43 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 6.49 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 5.70 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 5.67 crore) and NHPC(numbers of share traded: 4.27 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 80.6 points up at 17736.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 212.88 points at 59756.84.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
