Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
RRIL(up 19.98%), Daulat Sec(up 19.85%), STL Global(up 19.81%) and Coastal Corp(PP)(up 16.01%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 411.91 points up at 61158.5, while the 50-share index, NSE was 124.65 points up at 18136.85.
In the Nifty50 index, 40 stocks traded in the green, while 10 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Weizmann Ltd, Ravalgaon Sugar, Gretex Corporate Services Ltd., Containe Technologies Ltd. and Telesys Info-Infra(I)Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Spaceage Products, SREI Infra Fin, Sical Logistics, PrismxGlobalVent and Rel Capital touched their new 52-week low during the session.
