    Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

    NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:04AM

    Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 3.33%), NMDC Ltd(up 2.25%), MOIL(up 2.19%), Lexus Granito(up 1.60%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.26%), 20 Microns(up 0.74%), Pokarna(up 0.45%), KIOCL(up 0.39%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 0.06%) were among the top gainers.

    Coal India(down 0.30%) were among the top losers.

    The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 120.25 points up at 19309.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 423.23 points at 65141.79 at around 10:04AM.

    HDFC(up 3.21%), HDFC Bank(up 2.86%), JSW Steel(up 1.88%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.63%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.39%), Grasim Industries(up 1.24%), Tata Steel(up 1.03%), ICICI Bank(up 1.0%), State Bank of India(up 0.97%) and Bajaj Finance(up 0.97%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki(down 1.17%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.16%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.01%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.94%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.77%), UPL Ltd(down 0.75%), Britannia Industries(down 0.57%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.48%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.39%) were trading in the red.
