Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Max Ventures Ind, BSL Ltd, Apar Industries, Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd. and Power Mech Proj, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 386.95 points up at 17274.3 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Proseed India, Kandarp Digi Smart BPO Ltd., Pavna Industries Ltd., Cerebra Integrat and GVK Power Infra, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 48 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 2 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Bajaj Finance, Coal India Ltd and Hero MotoCorp were among top gainers during the day, while Power Grid, Dr. Reddys, Sun Pharma, Titan Company and Bharti Airtel ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 1276.66 points up at 58065.47.

Traders piled up positions in Shipping, Telecommunications, Apparels, Defence and Mining sectors, while selling was witnessed in NBFC, Miscellaneous, IT Enabled Services, Term Lending Institutions and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors during the day.
