Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.05% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:21AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Macrotech Developers(up 4.63 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.64 per cent), DLF(up 0.97 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.87 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.

SOBHA(down 1.31 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.92 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.05 per cent at 429.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 5.55 points at 18137.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 34.58 points at 60962.01.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, IOB, Suzlon Energy, PNB and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd., Aries Agro, Arvind SmartSpaces, Network People Services Technologies Ltd. and TIL Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Phantom Digital Effects Ltd., Sintex Inds., Goenka Diamond, Sathavahana Isp and Baheti Recycling Industries Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
