Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:45AM

Agro Phos(up 16.34%), Madras Fertlizers(up 14.19%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 9.00%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 5.69%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.81%), National Fertilizer(up 3.56%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 3.13%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 2.57%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.62%) and Aries Agro(up 0.54%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.81%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.66%), Coromandel International(down 2.19%), G S F C(down 1.88%), ZUARIAGRO(down 1.43%), Sikko Industries(down 0.71%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.67%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.30%), KRISHANA(down 0.20%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.19%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 111.05 points down at 18303.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 341.21 points at 61457.82 at around 10:45AM.

Hindustan Unilever(up 0.87%), Reliance Industries(up 0.54%), Nestle India(up 0.42%), Cipla(up 0.29%), Eicher Motors(up 0.27%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.14%), HCL Technologies(up 0.08%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.05%) and SBI Life(up 0.04%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.0%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.94%), Grasim Industries(down 1.57%), ITC(down 1.53%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.52%), State Bank of India(down 1.45%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.3%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.27%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.24%) and Bajaj Auto(down 1.22%) were trading in the red.
