Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 125.93 crore), Max Financial(Rs. 74.00 crore), Asian Paints(Rs. 53.03 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 46.24 crore), RIL(Rs. 42.71 crore), Infosys(Rs. 39.01 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 29.82 crore), JTL Infra(Rs. 28.66 crore), PNB(Rs. 26.91 crore) and HUL(Rs. 26.45 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 80.2 points down at 18027.65, while BSE Sensex fell 236.66 points to 60621.77.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.02 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 0.90 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 3.81 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.53 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.45 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
