Stock market update: Nifty Private Bank index gains 1%; Bandhan Bank up nearly 4%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Private Bank index was trading with gains at 12:55PM (IST) on Friday.

Shares of City Union Bank (up 3.65 per cent), Bandhan Bank (up 2.51 per cent), Federal Bank (up 2.47 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 2.2 per cent) and RBL Bank (up 1.81 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 1.1 per cent up at 12164.65 around 12:55PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 86.30 points at 11398.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 293.66 points at 38514.05.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of BHEL, YES Bank, NTPC, Vodafone Idea and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of BASF India, Indiabulls Ventures (PP), Aarti Drugs, Affle (India) Ltd. and Firstsource Sol hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade, while hit fresh 52-week low in trade.
