    BLS International to process 7 lakh transactions under West Bengal E-governance project

    The company has done Rs 1.5 crore of business in July and is targeting a revenue of Rs 100 crore in five years from the project. The company has implemented uniformed land registration system for the citizens across the West Bengal where citizens can have a copy of their land registration with ease across the state.

    BLS International Services Ltd, a global tech-enabled services partner for governments and citizens, has partnered with West Bengal government for online property and land registration.
    The company has done Rs 1.5 crore of business in July and is targeting a revenue of Rs 100 crore in five years from the project.

    The company has implemented uniformed land registration system for the citizens across the West Bengal where citizens can have a copy of their land registration with ease across the state.

    “Government services is one area where we are focusing a lot. We are in talks with other star government also so outsource the facility such as property registry,” said Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Director, BLS International.

    The West Bengal project is outsourced to BLS where the company will do the IT Infra and network setup in the Presidency Zone of West Bengal and will provide services to citizens related to and like registration, copy of the land records, certified copies etc with defined time frame.

    BLS works in the domain of visa, passport, consular, citizen, e-governance, attestation, biometric, e-visa and retail services since 2005.

    BLS International Services Ltd was selected by Directorate of Registration and Stamp Revenue, Government of West Bengal for computerization and e-Governance of registration offices in West Bengal in PPP mode in Presidency Zone.

    “We are delighted to sign this agreement with Government of West Bengal and expand our footprint in the eastern region. This is a great opportunity for BLS International to strengthen its specialized verticals in citizen services/E-governance which is an amalgamation of best-in-class technology and well-defined process to front-end these services,” Aggarwal said.

    In this project, the company will procure, install and commission the hardware for 81 offices under Presidency Zone. Deployment of manpower, management and maintenance of manpower and hardware will be done for 5 years. BLS will process 700,000 transactions per annum in this project.

    The company works with over 46 client governments including Diplomatic Missions, Embassies & Consulates and leverages technology and processes that ensure data security. The company now has an network of more than 12,000 centres globally with a robust strength of over 15,000 employees and associates that provides consular, biometrics and citizen services.
