    Pune: Indian IT services firm Sonata Software Ltd. is acquiring Encore Software to strengthen its geographic presence stateside. The US-based IT company provides user experience, data Insights and real-time collaboration services to clients in healthcare, logistics and independent software vendor sectors.
    The acquisition gives Sonata access to an experienced leadership team that’s based in the United States and adds significant capability to its platformation-led digital transformation strategy. The deal also gives the Indian company an entry into new verticals like healthcare and logistics, and reinforces its independent software vendor and Microsoft-led cloud businesses.

    Set up in 1998, Encore Software Services is headquartered in San Jose, California, with a development centre in Chennai, India.
