Stock market update: SmallCap stocks mixed; Man Inds surges 15%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 01:29PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Man Industries (India) (up 15.42 per cent), Shiva Cement (up 13.06 per cent), Automotive Axles (up 11.35 per cent), KPR Mill (up 11.17 per cent) and Transpek Inds. (up 10.69 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Opto Circuits(India) (down 4.98 per cent), Axiscades Engineering Technologies (down 4.97 per cent), McLeod Russel India (down 4.96 per cent), Vikas Ecotech (down 4.92 per cent) and Nila Infra (down 4.91 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 15372.8 around 01:29PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 37.65 points at 11559.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 118.33 points at 39162.68.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Federal Bank, JSPL and IDFC First Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Vinati Organics, Radico Khaitan, Strides Shasun , Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd. and Hexaware hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Advitiya Trade India Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Unishire Urban Infra Ltd., Mukat Pipes Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Leading Leasing Finance and Investment Company Ltd. and Shivansh Finserve Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
