AgenciesNEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 12.23 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 9.70 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.98 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 3.65 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.76 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 1.58 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 1.51 crore), NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 1.24 crore), UCO Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.23 crore) and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 1.17 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 71.75 points down at 18127.35, while BSE Sensex ended down 241.02 points at 60826.22.
On the other hand, UPL Ltd.(down 3.38 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.51 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.37 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
